What to Bring to Your First Cosplay Experience
Prepared by COz Cos |
Once you have discussed an experience, prepare what you need for the day. This checklist focuses on packing and arrangements; our all-in-one guide explains packages and booking.
Separate your items from the package contents
List the makeup, wig, costume, photography and images included in your chosen option. Send photos and measurements of anything you already own. Confirm shoes, props and accessories individually rather than assuming that a character name covers every item.
Keep your references together
Save the series, character, costume version and front and side references on your phone. Add a few examples of expressions, framing or poses you like, plus photos of your own costume pieces. Clear examples are more useful than knowing technical makeup terms.
Pack for your own needs
Consider water, tissues, a charged phone, charging equipment, clothes for the trip home and a bag for personal belongings. Check your own shoes and props against a list, and protect fragile styling in a separate container. Ask which materials, such as a wig cap or makeup removal supplies, you need to bring.
Confirm the full schedule and location
A listed 30-minute or one-hour shoot is photography time, not the entire visit. Ask about arrival, makeup, changing and packing before planning transport or another appointment. Locations are near Yingge Train Station in New Taipei and Nantun MRT Station in Taichung; confirm the exact place by message.
Prepare a few pose ideas
Choose a standing pose, seated pose or characteristic hand gesture as a starting point. Confirm whether posing assistance, props or companions can be accommodated before booking. After changing, check that you can move comfortably and raise any adjustments with the service provider.
Check what happens after the shoot
Confirm image selection, retouched image counts, whether all files are included, and delivery format and timing. Published package contents do not promise a universal completion time. Mention any deadline at the beginning and confirm whether it can be met.
